Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11:05AM Where can you go to see fashion, fine cuisine, gardening and techie trends - all in one show? Give up? No, it's not the View - it's the Martha Stewart Show!
Sheffield interior design and feng shui students recently enjoyed a field trip to a live taping of the Martha Stewart show. Special guests include the artistic director from J. Crew, Jenna Lyons; famed Greek chef, Vefa Alexiadou; and New York Times tech specialist Katie Boehret.
The audience was treated to a fashion show of the latest winter wardrobe from J. Crew. A little retro styling combined with cashmere and layered pearl and crystal jewelry makes a very classic but contemporary wardrobe.
Greek chef Vefa Alexiadou then showed off her culinary chops by creating a Baked Lamb & Orzo casserole and a dessert dish called Ruffled Milk Pie. Alexiadou has also recently published an extensive cookbook of Greek foods from every Greek region called Vefa's Kitchen.
New York Times Tech guru, Katie Boehret, showed off top techie holiday gifts that are in demand. The Apple Ipod Touch is of course #1 on many lists. Another hot item is a digital recipe reader called Demy. This reader holds many recipes of which you can download from the Key Ingredient website or import from other cooking sites.
Check out all the action at Martha Stewart's site.

I should have seen this show. I would love to see how they had made a retro look contemporary by adding some pearl crystal jewelries! I am a retro and jewelry enthusiast!
