Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 4:56AM How can the latest technology also be a throw-back to mid-century modern? With the "reBraun" from Gizmodo.
Gizmodo explains it may look like a retro record player, but really it's an MP3 jukebox. The design of the box is based on the "Audio 1 Kompaktanlage"designed by Dieter Rams in 1962.For techies, we'll tell you that it has two TFT displays, and everyone will want to know it picks up a WiFi signal instead of an FM radio signal. So you can't listen to NPR, except you can as a live stream. And get this, all you design hounds who've been laid off of late: It's just a little bit over $15,000.You can see more of their products athttp://i.gizmodo.com/5170594/rebraun-mp3-player-brings-post+war-
