Before The Cure, and After

We all love before and afters, and usually they're just a matter of a designer taking a room that needs some changes and putting in new furniture, new cabinets, using a new color on the walls. In the case of Tobi Fairley's recent project, it's more than that. She was part of the design of a newly-constructed house, the Susan G. Komen Build for the Cure Idea House in Arkansas. Each house is designed, built and then decorated with donated supplies and services, and then each is open for tours. Proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen foundation, which is dedicated to research and education about breast cancer. Here's a shot of one of the rooms as construction was being completed:

Now, if we could just get to the "after" part of the finding the cure for breast cancer. You can see more about Tobi's project here:http://tobifairley.com/blog/2009/before-and-afterdesigner-house/
