Rug Question

This question just in, from a Stylehound reader:
"What the heck is this style of rug? It's not traditional and I don't believe it is quiet a contemporary rug. thanks in advance!"

I think it's contemporary or modern, because of the pattern of plum blossoms. There isn't anything fussy or ornate about it. Anyone else want to categorize this rug for our reader? Whatever the style, we like this rug. Here's a photo of it in a room:

My first instinct was to say 'Modern' - it's absolutely gorgeous. The colors are so 'in' right now too. JoAnn Fabrics has several new fabrics that are all these colors you should check them out for pillows.
