Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 9:53AM With sustainable design on everyone's mind these days, it's the perfect time to go to the newly-opened exhibit titled "Design for a Living World," at Cooper Hewitt, in New York City. The exhibit features ten designers who were commissioned to "develop new uses for sustainably grown and harvested materials in order to tell a unique story about the life-cycle of materials and the power of conservation and design," according to the museum's website.
The exhibit opened May 14 and runs through January 2010.
Located on Fifth Avenue at 91st Street, the museum is open to the public every day of the week. For more information see http://cooperhewitt.org
