My Big Fat Front Hall, Part Seven
Sarah Van Arsdale
Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 6:41AM I found the drawer pulls! Online, at a place called House of Antique Hardware, which, by the way, also has all kinds of old-fashioned door knobs and door hardware, those little things that people used to make so they'd be pretty as well as practical.
So, I may be able to Save the Cabinet after all. (And save, really, 1500 bucks by not buying the gorgeous thing from Urban Oasis.)
They’re lovely, old-fashioned glass, and come in pretty colors, and they're like $3 or $4 bucks a piece. I think one of the blues, the green or maybe the red. I think any of these would look great with the wall paper from Stroheim & Romann.
I would love to hear readers' opinions. Here's the cabinet again
:
and here are the pulls I'm thinking of:

What do you think, readers? A pretty, pale green? A brilliant, shiny blue? An eye-catching red? Let me know your vote in the Comments.

LOVE the red! Love them. Can't wait to see the final product.

Oooh, I vote red too. I think it will pop and really coordinate with the flowers behind. You can't go wrong with any of them though.
green!
I personally like the green ones. They'd be a great fit with the wallpaper, keeping the organic look. The red ones are also nice though because they go well with the flowers.
Good luck ;)
Hard to say from this picture! Can you show more of the white cabinet? What's on the other side?
I think the green!!
if I would see the wall paper closer up maybe i would say something else it seems the red also goes with wallpaper
even though i really like the green, the longer i look at it, i would say that the red knob would look better. it would make the cabinet stand out more. the green is too subtle.. blue would be too much.. so the red is probably the best choice =)
I'm a sucker for beach glass so I automatically lean towards the blue and green. I have to say I vote blue though, I think it will pull out the birds in the paper wonderfully.
