Mustachioed for all seasons

Monday, March 1, 2010 at 9:52AM All great fashion and design trends come and go, and come again. After a couple of decades when clean-shaven faces were de rigueur for the modern man, in recent years the mustaches and beards of yore have become ubiquitous on the faces of hip young men.
A truly popular trend, however, will resonate beyond itself and - perhaps oddly - mustaches and beards have done just that. As Offbeat Bride noticed, mustaches became all the rage at weddings for funny photo ops a couple of years ago, and have stayed hot. I still see this popular motif on bridal blogs nearly every day.
Now all kinds of funky and fun design pieces are inspired by the swirls of a simple 'stache. A quick round-up of some of my favorites below excellently illustrates this point.
Firstly, the adorable, hilarious standard for weddings, parties, or anytime mustachioed fun, from originators somethings hiding in here:
For fun with your beverages, an etched glass tumbler and pint glass from Bread & Badger:
A handy handlebar key holder and pencils for twirling, chewing on, or simply disguising yourself from The Curiosity Shoppe:
Vibrant mustache cards from Brinner:
And finally, an "obligatory" mustache garland from Paper Acorn - perfect for any party, and a mustache monocle - just for fun, and so beautiful from Idle Hands Designs:
