In rainbows
Caroline Wolfe Papocchia
Monday, March 15, 2010 at 12:58PM For the past few days we have had quite a bit of rain in New York, but - despite the impending St. Patrick's Day holiday - not a single rainbow. Since rainbows have topped my list of all-time favorite things since I first encountered Rainbow Brite and Lisa Frank (watershed moments of my youth, to be sure), I felt a little homage was in order. And what an easy homage this was! Luckily my favorite optical and meteorological event has real design staying power, with a full spectrum of positively charming results. Enjoy this little taste of the rainbow...
First, the Leonardo Design Team's classic curved tumblers at the MoMA Store:
Tweet tweet! Sweet little bird whistles from my friend Marco's NY store KIOSK:
A panopoly of rainbow rings from Fallen Angel Designs and an adorable eco-friendly wood rainbow puzzle from Imagination Kids:
An elegant striped rainbow pillow - bright, yet muted for any decor style - from Fresh Vintage Design:
And a final, personal fave - a Nintendo Super Mario Mushroom bracelet from Live This Life:
