Start Me Up! - Part 20

Hey everyone! Wow, so we are already on the 20th installment of Belle, quite fitting that it coincides with the beginning of wedding season. Of course weddings happen every month of the year, but typically in the US & especially on the east coast, May – October tend to be very “wedding heavy”.

This season I have a few weddings lined up and I will try to have you tag along as much as possible. In fact, this week I have a meeting with a client who will be having a wedding on the 29th of May which just happens to be Memorial Day weekend. Although I have yet to speak with or meet this client, I will be in charge of producing the event. The reason I have not met with them is because they signed up with someone else that I work with, but I will be the planner actually executing the wedding.

Way back a few months ago I described briefly some of the different packages that planners may offer; I refer to this as I will be providing what we refer to as Day-Of Coordination for this particular client - meaning that I am stepping in to help her finish up and tie together her many wedding elements and relieve some of the last minute stress that nearly always ensues as one’s wedding day approaches. This also means that I must put together a team to assist me on the big day.

At our meeting I will review with her the overall elements of her wedding and some of the more intricate details. This face-to-face will be kicking off our 5-week wedding planning countdown. From what I hear about this client and wedding there is a lot to be done and I think this is the perfect wedding planning process to share with you all; a bit of a crash course if you will. I will keep you posted as we proceed – how the meeting went, what we spoke about, what my next step is and so on and so forth. I promise to share as much as I can, without sharing too much. See you next week!

xx,
Belle
